Lead, learn, live.
Alpha Omicron Pi is dedicated to the development of its members. We hope that each sister strives to achieve her full potential during her college experience. One opportunity provided by the fraternity is for leadership roles within the chapter. We encourage new sisters to run for positions as soon as they are interested, and older sisters serve as mentors to help newer officers be confident and effective in their new roles.
In addition to collegiate sisters who have formerly held office, AOII has a broad network of alumnae advisors. They serve in capacities where they already have experience or expertise, staying in contact with collegiates through email, phone calls, and visits to the chapter. Our advisors are excellent sources of ideas and information, so every officer has the support and encouragement needed to exceed expectations.
Resources
AOII International provides each officer with a miriad of manuals,
powerpoints, and handouts to help her excel in her position. Any sister
can access these, regardless of whether she holds an office or not.
This allows sisters who may be interested in running for a position
to view the resources available before making a final decision. To access
these benefits, please go to AOII International's website, log in, and
click on Officer Resource Library under My Community.
AOII International
Epsilon's Alumnae Advisory Council consists of alumnae volunteers who act as mentors and advisors to the chapter and to individual officers. Our current Chapter Advisor is Ashley Avery. She was initiated into AOII at Delta Beta Chapter at University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2000. As a collegiate, she held the offices of Corresponding Secretary, Public Relations Chair, and Chapter Relations Chair. Prior to becoming a Chapter Advisor, Ashely served as an advisor to the position of Chapter Relations. She is currently a member of the Acadiana Alumnae Chapter, and lives in Vestal, New York.
